HARNESSING THE POWER OF IN-DIE SENSING PROGRAMS
‘Unscheduled down time due to die crash’ are words no stamper wants to hear. On a broader scale, already lean manufacturing practices are growing even leaner – raising part quality levels to higher standards. The TCR team can help you implement a die protection program ranging from basic to prevent die crashes to advanced integrated technology that can increase production and deliver greater consistency in part quality. Die protection programs fall into two primary categories:

- Digital - Digital output sensors can report one of only two possible states--on or off, indicating the presence or absence of the attribute or feature the sensor is observing.
- Analog - Analog-output sensors are not limited to just two responses, but instead provide a range of signal from distance measurements to attributes like force, temperature, sound waves, electrical current, torque and more. Distance and force typically represent the most common applications in stamping dies.
Analog laser measures angle.
In addition to analyzing the right protection program for you, TCR has the ability to update existing die protection as advanced technology becomes available and integrate ancillary equipment, like press controls, to help optimize your program. Our team also provides on-site training once the installation is complete.
Find out today how you can prevent die crashes and the production of bad parts through die protection.
